There was one thing Methos hated: other Immortals trying to provoke him into a fight.
He didn’t mind them calling him weak or a coward. He knew he was neither. He just wanted to survive, and he was willing to do whatever it took to make sure that he saw the next day – be it now by fight or flight.
Being close to MacLeod was dangerous. The risk of being exposed was unbelievably high.
But Methos liked that spike of danger. It showed him that he was still alive.
Besides, it never got boring around MacLeod and his moral dilemmas…
