General disclaimer: Not mine. Nothing. Sad, isn't it?
table of prompts.
Title: Hours
Fandom: CSI:NY
Characters: Don Flack, Danny Messer
Prompt: 006. Hours
Word Count: 100
Rating: FRT-13
Author's Notes: I was in the mood for something like that.
Danny moved carefully. “Don?”
Don blinked sleepily and took a careful breath that sent a sharp pain through his chest.
In the twilight, he noticed that Danny looked young, especially without his glasses.
Danny’s fingertips ghosted soothingly over Don’s chest.
“I’m fine,” he murmured, but Danny didn’t reply. He just, carefully, pulled Don closer to him.
“That’s not how I planned to spend the evening,” he finally whispered against Don’s sweat-slicked and feverishly hot skin.
Don managed a weak snort. “What, being buried for hours under a collapsed building with me and my broken ribs isn’t your idea of fun?”
Title: Days
Fandom: CSI:NY
Characters: Mac Taylor, Danny Messer
Prompt: 007. Days
Word Count: 100
Rating: FRT-13
Author's Notes: A Don Flack drabble without Don in it *grins*
Danny and Mac arrived at another crime scene, and as soon as Danny saw the homicide detective, his face fell. With a scowl he moved his kit from one hand to the other and used his now free right hand to push his glasses – his spare glasses – up his nose.
The detective gave him a look filled with dislike and distrust, and Mac felt how his muscles started to tense up. He quickly hurried Danny along and got him started on the crime scene before sighing to himself.
Five more days before Don would be back.
It was an eternity.
Title: Weeks
Fandom: CSI:NY
Characters: Don Flack
Prompt: 008. Weeks
Word Count: 100
Rating: FRT-13
Author's Notes: Inspired by watching the movie Miracle a few times too often...
Three weeks into the job, Don wanted to throw everything down, take a hockey stick and beat something – or someone – until there was nothing left.
He didn’t do it. He clenched his teeth, and when asked how he liked it, he nodded and gave an affirmative answer.
Of course he liked being a cop. It was all he ever wanted to be, and even more.
He always wanted to be a cop. He told himself that firmly, every night he couldn’t sleep and stared at the ceiling.
He always wanted to be a cop.
Besides, hockey was only a game.
Title: Months
Fandom: CSI:NY
Characters: Don Flack
Prompt: 009. Months
Word Count: 100
Rating: FRT-13
Author's Notes: Again, inspired by Miracle.
It had been months since he had done this last. Months in which he didn’t even allow himself to think about it. And yet – it felt good to be back. It felt as if he’d come home.
He laughed a little at that thought. He had a home. He had friends. He loved his job. He really did. And yet – playing basketball with Danny on his days off couldn’t really compete with this, no matter how much he loved spending time with Danny.
He frowned at the bruises already forming on his body.
It didn’t matter. He still loved Hockey.
Title: Years
Fandom: CSI:NY
Characters: Don Flack, Aiden Burn
Prompt: 010. Years
Word Count: 100
Rating: FRC to FRT-13
Author's Notes: A quick explanation for the titles: I hate that part of writing - giving the fics titles. So I figured it's okay to be lazy and name them all after their prompt.
“We know each other for how long now?” Aiden asked and arched an elegant eyebrow.
Don shrugged awkwardly with one shoulder. “A few years, why?”
Aiden just looked at him. “A few years,” she repeated, “And you never even thought about telling us about this?”
“That’s because there’s nothing to tell,” Don answered and rocked the baby he was holding soothingly. “I just can’t come tonight.”
“Because of your kid…Don jr?” Aiden shook her head.
Don looked at her and started to laugh.
“Her name is Ann,” he managed to tell her, “And she’s not my daughter. She’s my niece.”
