Title: Tickle Your Fancy
Fandom: Star Trek XI
Pairing: Spock/Leonard McCoy

A/N: written for kink_bingo, prompt “tickling”. 682 words.
“If you will allow the use of an old Earth idiom, Doctor, I do not understand why this anatomical phenomenon fascinates you so much.” Spock raised his eyebrow inquiringly, but kept the rest of his body perfectly still. “That it has you hooked.”
“Well, Commander,” Leonard repeated, unperturbed by Spock’s inquiry, and selected a colorful feather in a deep, rich red color with gold-tipped ends. “I am trying to figure out your hybrid anatomy and the sudden and unexpected occurrence of human characteristics in your biology.” The hint of a smirk appeared around the corners of his mouth.
“I can assure you that this is not an exclusively human phenomenon, Doctor, as you should be well aware of,” Spock pointed out. He was focusing on breathing evenly through his nose and not reacting to the teasing touch of the weather along his ribcage.
Spock knew that the sides of the abdominal area and the soles of the feet were the main areas where this phenomenon mostly manifested for humans, but he wasn’t human and it was not impossible to hold on to his control in the current situation.
“Shouldn’t a medical experiment such as this one be conducted in the controlled environment of sickbay?” he asked and reached out with his right hand to brush his fingers along Leonard’s wrist in a suggestive, intimate caress.
Leonard frowned down at him. “I don’t think so,” he growled. “Now, can you put your hand back so I can continue my experiment?”
Spock acquiesced and put his hand back into exact the same position it had been in before he had moved it. Leonard continued his exploration of Spock’s body, but Spock was preoccupied with the sudden wave of disappointment he was feeling unexpectedly and couldn’t focus on the physical sensation of the soft touch of the feather against his genitals and inner thighs.
Apparently, he had misjudged the level of sexual arousal in Leonard, he thought, because the man had just ignored Spock’s offer of sexual intercourse in favor for his experiment.
On the other hand, he could detect all indicators of arousal from the good doctor, starting with the flush of his skin, widened pupils, a rise in his respiratory rates and tachycardia – heavy breathing and a quickened heartbeat – not to mention the most obvious sign of arousal in a male human being, an erection.
It took Spock a moment to work through the problem until he reached a logical conclusion.
“The act of touching my body in this fashion is sexually arousing you,” he said. “This is why you insisted on performing this experiment here, in the privacy of our quarters. The experiment is not to test my physiology, but your reaction to it.”
Leonard flushed. “Yeah, dammit,” he growled, signs of discomfort and embarrassment appearing in his expressive body language. “It’s a kink.” He dropped the feather and brushed his hand over his face. “It’s not doing anything for you, is it?”
Spock raised an eyebrow thoughtfully as he contemplated Leonard’s words and the sudden feeling of dejection he could feel from where Leonard’s knee was brushing his side. It was illogical, but Spock didn’t like it when Leonard was feeling this way.
Fortunately, a logical solution presented itself almost immediately to him.
“Leonard,” he said. “I would advise you to use your hands to touch. Unlike humans, the teasing sensation associated with the act of tickling one’s partner stems less from the physical stimulation but from our touch telepathy.” He reached out with two fingers and brushed them along Leonard’s hand. “This way, we will both find this to be a more satisfying experience.”
Leonard chuckled softly and brushed his fingertips softly against Spock’s shoulder, hitting one of the truly ticklish spots on his Vulcan body while a bare hint of his emotions – expectation, curiosity, love – teased against Spock’s mind. It was enough to elicit a small hitch in his breathing.
This was, indeed, a much more satisfying touch, for both of them, and if Leonard’s thoughts were an indicator, they both would enjoy it for some time to come.
